The first ever collaboration between Studio Ghibli and figma!
It's
been announced that from November 17, 2012, the theatrical release of
"Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo" will be shown together with an
extended theatrical edition of the "A Giant Warrior Descends on Tokyo"
short "tokusatsu" special effects film produced by Studio Ghibli!In commemoration of this special event, the "figma Giant Warrior" figure will again be available for limited-time preorder.

Studio Ghibli's newest short special effects film 'A Giant Warrior Descends on Tokyo' is being screened at Anno Hideaki's Special Effects exhibition, and from that film comes a figma of the Giant Warrior. A replica model based off a life-size puppet of the Giant Warrior used for special effects in the film has been shrunk down even smaller with the use of a 3D scanner, and then sculpted into a figma by sculptor Takayuki Takeya! The figma also includes a number of optional extras, such as head parts to recreate the proton beam attack, a rod of light, and wings to display it soaring through the air.
